"Thomas Allen Blackcrow, Jr was just all sorts of a walking conundrum. He was half Indian and half Swede, but just as dark as a walnut. Of the ten kids in New Hope’s senior high school class he was the only boy to get offered a scholarship to college and he turned it down.
